The service
Zrelay provides an independent AI API gateway with Zrelay-issued credentials, authentication, routing, usage metering and spending controls. An account can hold model-family-specific API keys that draw from a shared prepaid balance. Requests pass through Zrelay infrastructure to independent inference suppliers; customers do not receive the upstream suppliers’ credentials.
References to Claude, GPT, Grok, OpenAI, Anthropic or xAI identify compatible formats or advertised model families. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners. Zrelay does not claim an official partnership, endorsement or direct provider account relationship for customers.
Eligibility and account security
Zrelay serves individual consumers and business customers internationally. You must have legal capacity to contract and authority to act for any organization you represent. Keep your account recovery code and API keys confidential. You are responsible for use authorized through your credentials, subject to applicable law. Create separate keys and appropriate spending limits for separate applications, rotate compromised credentials and contact support about suspected unauthorized use.
The account code and issued keys are displayed once. Zrelay does not offer email-based account recovery in the current account flow. Store your recovery information securely. Support does not need your account code or API secret to begin investigating an issue.
Prepaid usage and delivery
You purchase access to Zrelay’s API service. The prepaid balance is an internal measure of service usage: it is not cash, a financial wallet or a payment account. Customers cannot transfer balances to one another, withdraw them or redeem them for money. Refunds owed under the refund policy or applicable law are separate from balance redemption.
BTC purchases use a self-hosted BTCPay checkout when the selected offer is available. After confirmed settlement, Zrelay credits the account; an initial purchaser reveals credentials from the receipt page, while a top-up adds credit to an existing account. Availability and payment-confirmation delays may affect delivery.
Purchased credit has no scheduled expiry while the service operates. For purchases from this version onward, each paid purchase has six months of voluntary service-interruption refund coverage from its settlement date; historical purchases keep their recorded coverage end date. The period does not create an on-demand refund right. Mandatory rights remain unaffected. Trial, referral and manually granted promotional credit are separate from amounts paid and have no corresponding paid amount to refund. Trial expiry and usage limits are shown when issued.
Pricing, metering and limits
Usage is charged at the published Zrelay per-model usage rates, using metered token and cache categories where applicable. These rates may differ from a model provider’s direct prices. Package prices and BTCPay invoice amounts are denominated in USD; BTCPay presents the Bitcoin amount for payment. Zrelay does not calculate or display a separate tax amount in this checkout. The operator manages applicable tax obligations. A dollar-denominated usage balance is not a promise that the same amount of cash is held for you.
The gateway reserves estimated usage before a request, applies configured output limits where needed and settles metered consumption against the account’s oldest available credit lots. Per-key spending caps, remaining balance, model availability and service limits can restrict requests. Report a metering discrepancy with safe request or invoice references.
Model availability and published prices may change. Material changes should be communicated through the website or account service before they apply; they must not rewrite settled charges. Any mandatory notice or remedy under applicable law remains available.
Third-party dependencies and availability
Zrelay relies on independent upstream inference suppliers and hosting services. Upstream outages, capacity limits, model changes and request restrictions can affect access. The gateway forwards the requested model identifier and selects credentials for its model family; it cannot independently certify which model an upstream actually executes.
No contractual uptime SLA, independent security certification or end-to-end zero-data-retention commitment is offered. See the privacy policy for the processing path. AI outputs may be inaccurate; evaluate them before using them in decisions or production systems.
Customer content and intellectual property
You retain any rights you hold in content submitted to the service. You authorize the processing and transmission needed to perform your requests, meter usage, provide support and protect the service. You must have the necessary rights and lawful basis to submit that content. These terms do not grant Zrelay ownership of customer content.
Rights in generated outputs depend on applicable law and the terms governing the relevant inference service. Zrelay cannot promise that an output is exclusive, copyrightable or free of third-party rights. Zrelay’s website, software and branding remain subject to their respective intellectual-property rights and licenses.
Acceptable use and suspension
Follow the acceptable use policy. Do not use the service unlawfully, distribute stolen credentials, circumvent access controls, abuse trial issuance or disrupt infrastructure. Zrelay may limit or suspend access reasonably needed to address security incidents, suspected fraud, unlawful activity, unpaid or disputed payments, or material policy violations.
Where practicable, support will explain the issue and provide a way to seek review, unless disclosure would compromise security or a legal obligation. Closure or suspension does not automatically remove mandatory refund or consumer rights. Unused paid-credit remedies are governed by the refund policy and applicable law.
Marketplace purchases
G2G has accepted Zrelay in its Software & Apps > Gift Cards category. For a sale completed inside G2G, G2G is the seller and merchant of record and handles marketplace checkout, buyer taxes and sale refunds. Zrelay handles its own account, service and credit after valid delivery. The listing is not a partnership or endorsement.
G2G redemption is not available yet. An account ID alone cannot recover an account or credit. Zrelay does not send account recovery codes or API keys through marketplace listings or messages.
Direct BTC purchases on zrelay.net are separate from G2G sales. Stripe is not active; if later integrated, it would be a payment processor, not the merchant of record.
Refunds, disputes and consumer rights
The refund policy describes existing voluntary coverage and how to make a request. Contact support about payment disputes. A reversal, chargeback where a payment method permits one, or fraudulent payment may require reconciling the account and restricting affected credit, subject to applicable rights.
Checkout requests immediate service delivery and records the exact consent wording and terms version accepted. The effect on withdrawal depends on the legal classification and applicable law; selecting a checkbox alone does not remove all withdrawal rights. Mandatory consumer cancellation and withdrawal rights remain unaffected.
Disclaimers and responsibility
Subject to mandatory law, the service is provided on an available-capacity basis without a guarantee that it will meet every purpose or be uninterrupted or error-free. Customers should maintain appropriate backups and review outputs. Zrelay remains responsible for obligations that applicable law does not allow it to exclude.
These terms set no monetary liability cap and do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law, updates and contact
Applicable law and competent courts depend on the customer and transaction. Mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules in the consumer’s country prevail where applicable; these terms do not require consumers to give up those rights.
